February 18^th, 2023 – Serbian Memorial Saturday  

Vespers and Memorial Service at 6:00 PM

To a living person we can offer love in many ways, but to a departed person only in one way – through prayer.  Prayer for the departed shows how much we love them.  In fact, this is the only way to hug our departed loved ones.  Those who are living have many consolations, but the greatest one for the departed is our prayer for them.

Let us pray for the departed because those prayers are like fragrant incense before God.

At last, in our blood are many generations of the past.  Let us therefore not forget the part of us which departed with our loved ones.

We pray for the departed during every Divine Liturgy and on all the Saturdays of the year, but especially on the Memorial Saturdays. February 18th at 6:00 PM a Memorial Service will be held for our departed.  Please come if you are able, and bring or send by email the names of your departed loved ones (by replying to this email :protapetarp@gmail.com).

18. фебруар 2023. – ЗАДУШНИЦЕ

Вечерње и парастос у 18.00 часова увече

Живом човеку љубав можемо понудити на много начина, а преминулом само на један – молитвом. Молитва за упокојене показује колико их волимо. У ствари, ово је једини начин да загрлимо наше преминуле вољене. Живи имају многе утехе, али највећа за покојне је наша молитва за њих.

Помолимо се за упокојене јер су те молитве као миомирисни тамјан пред Богом.

Најзад, у нашој крви су многе генерације прошлости. Зато не заборавимо део нас који је отишао са нашим најмилијима.

За упокојене се молимо током сваке Литургије и сваке суботе у години, а посебно у суботе задушнице. Тако да ће 18. фебруара у 18:00 часова бити  служен парастос нашим упокојенима.
