+ЂОРЂЕ ИВКОВИЋ

У раним јутарњим часова, без бола и у сну, уснуо је у Господу Ђорђе Ивковић, дугогодишњи члан и председник црквеног одбора Српске Православне цркве светога Николе у Филаделфији.

Од пре неколико година Ђорђе је био и члан наше цркве светога Ђорђа у Синсинатију, Охајо у коју је често долазио и несебично је помагао, исповедао се и причешћивао. Покојног Ђорђа сам упознао пре 30 година у Елизабету,Њу Џерзи, па слободно могу рећи да смо од тада постали и веома блиски пријатељи. Био је омиљен међу људима како у Филаделфији,  тако и у Дејтону и Синсинатију.

Ђорђе Ивковић је отац наше парохијанке Драгане Ивковић Клафлин из Дејтона.

Нека му је вечно сећање међу нама и нека Господ настани Душу његову где праведници почивају.

In the early hours of the morning, without pain and in his sleep, George  Ivkovich a longtime member and president of the church board of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas in Philadelphia, fell asleep in the Lord.

From a few years ago, George was also a member of our church of St. George in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he often came and selflessly helped, confessed and received communion. I met the late George 30 years ago in Elizabeth, New Jersey, so I can say that since then we have become very close friends. He was a favorite among people in Philadelphia as well as in Dayton and Cincinnati.

George Ivkovich is the father of our parishioner Dragana Ivkovich Claflin from Dayton.

May his eternal Memory be Eternal and may the Lord dwell his soul where the righteous repose.
